We strongly recommend conducting searches for the full range of goods / services prior to commencing use and / or filing an application. The purpose of the search is to assess whether there are any significant obstacles to use or registration of a trade mark. 

A search can assist in identifying, anticipating and possibly overcoming an obstacle to use or registration. The costs of searching are often significantly less than the cost of rebranding or dealing with an objection raised by the Trade Marks Office or a third party.
